POMARIA — Dorothy Nell “Nellie” Wicker, 66, of Pomaria, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 at her residence.
Born in Pomaria, she was a daughter of the late Cecil W. and Mary Leitzsey Wicker. She was a very active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School, a life member of the WELCA, and was devoted to serving on the Bereavement Committee.
She is survived by brothers; Harold C. (Ann) Wicker of Pomaria, Carold W. (Judy) of Prosperity and Louis H. (Jo Ann) Wicker of Pomaria; aunts, Ruby Wicker, Pearl Leitzsey, Eva Leitzsey, Mary Graham, Jo Cumalander and Carolyn Richardson; nieces and nephews, Vickie (Anthony) Drafts, Nathan C. (Tammy) Wicker and Duman H. (Lynn) Wicker; step-nieces, Gail (Sammy) Dorroh and Annette (Billy) Bridges; great-nieces and nephews, Molly, Sara Ellen, Austin, Mary, Jacob and J.C.
Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul Lutheran Church by the Rev. Brent Nichols. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family is at her residence and received friends Saturday evening at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were, Barry Richardson, Kenneth Graham, Claude Shealy, Henry Jackson, James Richardson, Randall Waites and Fred Cumalander.
Honorary pallbearers were Paul Drafts, the Adult Sunday School Class, Dr. Ben Pinner, Jesse Gary and Beatrice Holmes.
