Man accused of sex with teen

Jessie Daniel Johnson, 30, of 3613 Dogwood Terrace, Building 12-C, Newberry, was arrested and charged Wednesday with first degree criminal sexual conduct.
Johnson is accused of having sex with a now-15-year-old girl since January 2001.
The incident was reported to Newberry Police on July 31 and ended in the arrest.
Newberry Police Captain Chuck Counts says the high degree of the charge was made due to the continuous illegal action.
At this time, Johnson was being held at the Newberry County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
