The suspect of a 2008 murder is back behind bars.

James O’Bryan Praylow, 22, of Prosperity, had a bond revocation hearing Wednesday.

Praylow is accused of the Dec. 8, 2007 shooting death of Dominique Brown, 20, of Newberry. Brown, who was an athletic standout at Newberry High School, was shot multiple times. A second man, Chad Marquee Caldwell, 20, also of Newberry, was shot in the arm at the Rutherford Club on Highway 176 near Pomaria. Brown died at the scene.

Praylow had been released from jail on bond, but was remanded back to court Wednesday.

Once there, his attorneys claimed he had not paid them for their services and asked to be dropped from the case.

The judge revoked Praylow’s bond and told him when he hires new council that the court will hold another bond hearing.
