This week, Ashley Marie Spires, 19, and Glen Daniels Adams III, 20, both of Lexington County, were charged with second degree burglary for two of the break-ins at Lexington County churches.
Spires and Adams join Kayla Ann Graydon, 18, of 168 Crystal Cove Court, Chapin; Patrick Burton Olvey, 20, of 236 Sampson Road, Gilbert; and James Richard Osborne, 20, of 425 Holy Trinity Church Road, Little Mountain, in the list of suspects in the cases.
According to reports, Spires and Daniels went with Graydon and Osborne to two church break-ins.
The group is accused of breaking into more than 20 churches trying to find cash. In addition to money, the group stole items that could easily be pawned or sold to others. The suspects reportedly used the money gained from the break-ins to purchase marijuana.
There is no word on whether the two will be charged in any of the Newberry County break-ins.
