A man at the center of a weekend shooting has been arrested.
Lavar Johnson, 25, of Porter Road, has been arrested by Conway police and will be returned to Newberry tomorrow.
Johnson with two others allegedly broke into a Nance Street Apartment and assaulted a man on Thursday.
On Friday a shot was fired into Johnson’s bedroom and the windshield of his car was smashed.
The bullet fired into the home hit a woman in the head but she escaped with minor injuries.
Johnson will face a number of charges including first degree burglary, when he returns to Newberry.
Due to the charge of first degree burglary carrying a life sentence, a bond hearing will be heard by a circuit court judge.
Two other men James Pitts, 25 of Palmetto Pointe Apartments, Newberry, and James Bookman, 27, no address available, are also wanted in the burglary.
