April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month and our members of the Newberry County Humane Society would like to alert everyone to this important month. We are all going through some very difficult times, but our furry friends are still our friends. They don’t understand that our nerves are on edge or that we are worried about our bills. They love us unconditionally, every day, no matter what. Please remember our domestic furry friends are our comfort and need comfort from us too.
During these nerve-wrecking times, take a moment to love your pets. Show them how much they mean to you and how much they help us get through these difficult times. Spend some time with them, chill out and watch how they can bring a smile to your face.
Do not lose your temper with them, they don’t understand the economy.
Do not neglect them, they only want to make you happy and in turn would like a safe place to sleep, fresh water each day and some healthy food.
Petting your furry family member will always relax both of you.
