NEWBERRY — Mrs. Nannie Hester Walker Lee, 79, of 835 Bess St., Newberry, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born in Mt. Sterling, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Pete Walker and the late Gwendolyn Gist Walker.

After relocating to Cincinnati, Ohio, and Newark, N.J., she moved to Newberry and joined St. Matthew Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Carol Carson (Robert) of the home; two sons, Charles E. Lee II (Sheila, Jacquie) of New Jersey and Arthur Delray Lee of Ohio; six grandsons; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Walker; six sisters, Carlena, Mattie Lee, Laura (Babe), Margaret Ann, Gwendolyn, all of Kentucky and Lucille of Ohio and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at St. Matthew Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home of Newberry.
