Brian Beck, left, was honored by City Manager Jeff Shacker on Tuesday for his 10 years as a City of Newberry employee. Beck started out in the Explorer program at the fire department and in 2003 became a full time employee, after volunteering with both the city and Friendly fire departments. Beck is currently an engineer with the Newberry Fire Department.
