PROSPERITY — The Mid-Carolina boys’ basketball team improved its record on Monday with an 85-73 win over Ninety Six. The game was scheduled to be played Friday but due to icy weather conditions in the region the match was postponed.
The win improves Mid-Carolina’s record to 7-11 overall and 2-4 in the region. Ninety Six is now 0-6 in the region.
Brent Caldwell was the top scorer for the Rebels with 20 points. Zach Parker followed closely behind Caldwell with 16 points and Cornelius Glasgow had 14 points. Javarius Nelson rounded out the players scoring double digits with 10 points.
Marcus McMorris added nine points. Chris Boyd contributed seven. Danton Hyman had three points. Marcus Chapman Dante Boyd and Tevarres Taylor all had two points.
Grant Dickey was the top scorer for Ninety Six with 20 points.
