CHAPIN — A Little Mountain man died Tuesday night after he was hit by a truck while walking in the road.
Jimmy Caughman, 57, died at Lexington Medical just before 9 p.m. Tuesday.
The S.C. Highway Patrol said Caughman was walking on Westwoods Drice around 6:23 p.m. when he was hit. Caughman was reportedly wearing dark clothing.
According to reports, a pick-up truck driven by a 54-year-old Little Mountain man hit Caughman. The truck was also traveling east.
The case is still under investigation by the S.C. Highway Patrol and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office.
