PROSPERITY — Mid-Carolina High School is once again having a Relay for Life team. The school wants plenty of participation from the students, parents and community to help raise funds for such a worthy cause.

Luminaries may be purchased for $10 from any team member in honor or memory of loved ones. They are collecting aluminum cans and all proceeds go to Relay for Life. They can be dropped off in the main office break room. Please contact Sissy Delesandro or Tammy Wilson at 803-364-2134.

You can also log on to www.relayforlife.org/newberry to make a donation, to register as a cancer survivor, and to show your support. To make a donation, once you are on the above web site, click “donate,” then click “search for a team,” type Mid-Carolina High School, select Mid-Carolina High School, click donate, and then follow directions on the screen. If you would like to join our team, once you are on the above web site, click “sign up,” click “Join an existing team,” type or select Mid-Carolina High School, choose next and follow instructions to join our team.

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature event. The actual event will take place at Newberry High School Stadium on April 26. Relay represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day, cancer will be eliminated.
