On Monday, people marched down College Street in Newberry in remembrance of the late Martin Luther King Jr. The crowd gathered at Miller Chapel A.M.E. on Caldwell Street at 9:30 a.m. and marched to Bethlehem Baptist Church singing songs, such as "Oh Happy Day."

Bethlehm Baptist Church was packed Monday for the Martin Luther King Jr. program and celebration where plenty of singing happened. The crowd was made up of younger students as well as older people who took time from their day off to remember the late Civil Rights activist.
