Prosperity council honors retiring elections worker

Prosperity native James Mills, left, was recognized by Prosperity Mayor Derek Underwood at the regular town council meeting on Tuesday night. Mills served on the Prosperity Election Commission and served the town helping out with elections at the town hall. Mills is going off the commission making way for new people to serve the town. Underwood thanked Mills for his service.

The Election Commission said good-bye to James Mills for his service to the Town of Prosperity on Tuesday night at its town council meeting. Mills was honored for his service and says, “I’ve lived in this town of Prosperity all my life, with the exception of time served in the U.S. Air Force. I love this town.”
