SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Newberry College Wolves’ wrestling team has received the No. 2 seed in this weekend’s NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals presented by Hibiclens and The Marines.
Newberry will face off against the Tigers of Fort Hays (Kan.) State in the first round at noon Eastern time on Saturday.
Newberry carries a 7-0 duals record into its fifth consecutive National Duals appearance. The Scarlet and Gray have three runner-up finishes and a fourth place finish to their credit in their four previous tips to National Duals.
This will be the first-ever meeting between Newberry and FHSU.
The winner of the dual will face off against the winner of seventh-seeded Notre Dame (Ohio) and Augustana (S.D.) at 4 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday.
