WHITMIRE — Funeral services for Ms. April Holmes, 38, will be conducted on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Ms. Holmes passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at her home. Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of Wilbert (Jacqueline) Holmes Sr. and the late Amye S. Cook. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and Women’s Home Aide Society #42.

Surviving in addition to her father are two sons, Ronder J. Lindler Jr. and Quinderius A. Lindler both of Whitmire; two sisters, Jacqueline C. Dominick of Whitmire; Cheryl E. Holmes of Newberry; five brothers, Leroy D. Cook Jr., Kevin M. Holmes, Cory Grier, Wilbert T. Holmes Jr., and Justin Holmes all of Newberry; two aunts, Mable (Frank) Reeder of Elizabeth, N.J.; Clara F. Sims of Newberry; three uncles, Lewis (Carolyn) Sims of Newberry; Clarence (Martha) Sims of Columbia; Tony Lee Sims of Cross Hill; great-aunt, Dora Garmany; great-uncle, Floyd Sims; four devoted nieces, Tangnakika (Marc) Brooks, Amye R. Cook, Markela F. Cook; Minister LaTasha (Donald) Rutherford; god-daughter, Kaitlyn O. Brooks, a host of nieces, nephews, loving family and friends.
