PROSPERITY — Mrs. Lillie Mae Wise, 68, of 3205 Cy Schumpert Road, Prosperity, died Friday at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Born in Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late Mr. J.C. Davenport and the late Mrs. Mamie Lee Kibler Davenport. She retired from B.C. Components. She was a member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Little Mountain where she served as an elder, president of the usher board, member of the missionary society, gospel choir, mass choir and was a member of the Oak Grove Burial Aid Society.

Those who celebrate her life and cherish precious and loving memories included three sons, Kelvin Wise (Amy) of Newberry, Graig Wise (Debra) of Blythewood and Anthony G. Wise of the home; one daughter, Sophia Wise (Morris) of Prosperity; one sister, Ms. Delores Stephens of Newberry; three brothers, Abram Davenport of Little Mountain, George Davenport of Prosperity, James Arthur Davenport of Little Mountain; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two uncles, Thomas C. Davenport of Columbia, J.P. Toland of Prosperity; one great-uncle Paul Eleazer of Greenville; one great-aunt Mrs. Allean Glasgow of Prosperity; five sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ethelene Toland, Mrs. Mildred Wise, Mrs. Mable Wise, Annette Davenport, all of Prosperity and Mrs. Willie Mae Wise of Newberry; two brothers-in-law, Moses Wise of Prosperity and Colie Wise of Detroit, Mich.; one niece reared in the home, Amesha Davenport; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including a devoted friend Mrs. Geneva Counts of Prosperity.

Funeral service and burial will be held Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
