One of the most common excuses for not becoming a Christian is the fear of failure to live a Christian life besides overlooking the fact that men cannot be saved on the basis of good works. The truth is neglected. God provides the power we need to live a life that’s pleasing to Him.
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.” Titus 3:5
Before Christ was crucified He promised the coming of the Holy Spirit to help believers.
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth, for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.” John 16: 13-14
The Christian who struggles in his own strength to live a Christian life will fail. We must put our trust in God daily. If we will totally trust God, we can resist temptation.
Playing the part of a Christian will make a person miserable, but being a true Christian will give you peace, joy and happiness.
