Mr. and Mrs. Jake Epting, formerly Sylvia O’Nelia Bundrick, of Kinards, were married on Sunday, Dec. 2, 1962, at Little River Dominick Presbyterian Church. They will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, during a surprise celebration, on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at the place of their wedding.

Jake retired as head of maintenance for Champion International Corporation. He is a very talented carpenter and mechanical engineer. He continues his love of both, helping many in his community. Sylvia worked outside the home for many years, but is best known for her skills as a homemaker. She continues to pass on traditions, such as canning, to those around her. Both are avid gardeners and enjoy being outside.

They have four children, Dewey (Michele), Rodney, Tim (Sarah), and Kimberly. They take great pride in their children, and especially their grandchildren, Jacob, Eli, Matthew, Isaac, and Adaline.

The entire family congratulates them on this wonderful milestone, and wishes them many more happy years together.
