Newberry’s B.J. Cochcroft, driver of the No. 26 Dwarf Car won the 2012 Points Championship at Harris Motor Speedway in the Dwarf car division in Rutherfordton, N.C. Cochcroft took first place 19 times and second place six times during the season. He would like to thank his sponsors, Eight Acres Recycling and Lake Murray Utilities and gives a special thank you to his crew, Corey Cochcroft, Michelle Cromer and daughter, Aleah Cromer. He gives a special thanks to Dave DeBusk, Doug Grice and all his fans. Cochcrofts comes from a racing family as his dad, Bart Cochcroft Sr., who drove in various divisions and his Uncle Larry Cochcroft owned several dirt track cars and dragsters. Cochcroft’s biggest inspiration was all the kids who visited him in the pits to sit in his car and have pictures made with him.
