Dear Editor:
What ever happened to the great idea of remodeling the old “Hub” theater and the strip mall? I read where reconstruction was to begin within 30 days. It has been months now, and I see no progress or activity on the site.
Was this another ploy by our political leaders to quiet the residents that hope and growth were coming to this city of friendly folks? Maybe it’s the older folks and tax paying property owners the councils are trying to appease, but before there can be any substantial growth the younger generation has to be considered with not only new schools but safe and clean places to gather, not to mention cleaning up an eye-sore as you enter the city.
How courteous it would be if our city fathers and council kept us informed after having called and received very positive input at the meeting disclosing this grand plan.
A response from someone would be very nice.
