Pomaria-Garmany Elementary invited the community of family and friends to our annual Veterans’ Day program held on Nov. 9 at 1:30 p.m. Students along with the community collected donations to send a World War II Veteran to Washington, D.C. A total of $500 was the goal for the Funding a Flight for a Veteran project. We are happy to announce that the goal was met and PGE will be sending a veteran to Washington, D.C. The veteran that was chosen for the flight was awarded the fund at the school’s Veteran’s Day program where fourth and fifth graders performed.
