The Shrine Bowl is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious high school all-star game in the country. Two Newberry High School Bulldogs have been selected to play for the south. Eric Gallman and Trahjare Reeder were selected to play in the 76th Shrine Bowl game Dec. 15 in Gibbs Stadium at Wofford College. Gallman plays fullback and defensive tackle and Reeder plays offensive tackle. School Board Chair Jody Hamm, left, and Superintendent Bennie Bennett, recognized Gallman and Reeder Monday night at the board meeting.
