INDIANAPOLIS - The Newberry College volleyball team enters the final weekend of the regular season in sixth place in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Rankings.

With a Division II record of 16-13 and an in-region record of 16-11, the Wolves remain on pace to qualify for their second consecutive NCAA Tournament. Their final regular season test comes at 7 p.m. Friday, when Newberry visits Anderson, who the Wolves defeated 3-1 in Newberry last month.

A win over Anderson would also give the Wolves their first-ever winning season in South Atlantic Conference play and either a fifth or sixth seed in next weekend’s Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament, which will be held at Brevard College.

Tournament champions of the South Atlantic Conference, Peach Belt Conference and Conference Carolinas will receive automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament.

There will also be five at-large bids to the NCAA postseason, which begins Nov. 29 at campus sites.

The NCAA II Elite Eight will be held Dec. 6-8 in Pensacola, Fla.
