NEWBERRY — Check your ponies, tighten those saddles and put on your chaps, as the Newberry Opera House will host ole time Cowboy Movies on Saturday.

The festivities will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the lobby with the telling of tall tales by the Saddle Pals, a charitable organization of re-enactors who appreciate the values and stories of the characters from our “old West.” There will be plenty of opportunity for pictures in the lobby with many familiar heroes- and a few villains – from those exciting frontier days.

The movie starts at 10 a.m. with greetings and announcements followed by a few songs and guest appearances by our cowboys. There will be a costume contest for the best little cowpoke and little cowgirl.

Kids are free when accompanied by an adult. Grown-up admission is $5. There will be free Cokes and popcorn. For tickets and information please call the Newberry Opera House Box Office at 803-276-6264 or visit online at www.newberryoperahouse.com
