Wolves host canned food drive Saturday

NEWBERRY — The Newberry College Student Athletic Advisory Committee is pleased to announce its canned food drive for The Harvest Hope Food Bank, to take place Saturday at Setzler Field as part of Newberry’s football game against Lenoir-Rhyne.

The Newberry SAAC will have boxes throughout the stadium at Saturday’s football game that fans wishing to donate can drop off canned foods and other food items.

Kickoff for the Wolves’ game against Lenoir-Rhyne is scheduled for 2 p.m.

The Harvest Hope Food Bank is most in need of the following food items canned meat and fish, peanut butter (in plastic jars), canned vegetables and fruits, breakfast cereal, personal care items (soap, shampoo, etc.) and nutritionally dense foods.
