Basketball is quite popular around Newberry Academy.
Many students begin playing the sport at the school from an early age.
Fall intramural basketball has tipped off for the fourth through eighth graders, with the players meeting in the gym to work on their skills, play games and have a little fun competition with each other.
Each intramural night has been a big hit and the players look forward to going back for more.
