IRMO — Mr. Alfred Westly Mills, 76, of 1132 North Wingard Road, Irmo, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia. Born in Irmo, he was the son of the late Arthur Mills Sr. and the late Gussie Bowman Mills.

He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Chapin. His son, Kenneth Alfred Mills; his sister, Josephine M. Murphy and brothers, Rudolph Mills and Rev. Calvin Mills preceded him to heaven.

Those who cherish loving and precious memories include his devoted wife, Annie M. Hall Mills of the home; one son, Lorenzo A. Mills (Evelyn) of Columbia; one daughter, Pamela Denise Mills of Columbia; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Arthur Mills (Margie) of Columbia and Carl E. Mills (Inez) of Irmo; five sisters, Zenobia M. Mitchell of Cincinnati, Ohio, Margaret M. Bryant of Columbia, Wynella Wilson of Tampa, Fla., Mildred Edgeworth (Jesse) and Hester Berry (Charles) of Columbia; a daughter-in-law, Regina Mills of Columbia; three sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law and loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services and burial will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Chapin. Viewing at the church will begin one hour prior to the service.
