The following people were booked into the Newberry County Detention Center. All persons are innocent until proven guilty.

S.C. Highway Patrol

Dustin Miller Brown, 26, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and possession of marijuana.

Newberry Police

Tyrone Tanquail Neal, 20, was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder murder, possession of a weapon during violent crime and discharging firearms into a dwelling.

Newberry County Sheriff’s Office

Dennis Jerrod Jones, 19, was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, two counts of sale or delivery of pistol to, and possession by, certain persons unlawful.

Tavis Jequez Werts, 20, was arrested and charged with driving without a license, failure to stop for a blue light, resisting arrest and two counts of sale or delivery of pistol to, and possession by, certain persons unlawful.

Jose Lluis Covarrubies, 27, was arrested and charged with driving without a license.

Chadrick Sanchaze Dodd, 24, was arrested and charged with a magistrate’s court bench warrant.

Angela Denise Sims, 48, was arrested and charged with a magistrate’s court bench warrant.

Derrick Antonio Cromer, 34, was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

Marquis Kentrell Nance, 20, was arrested and charged with instigating, aiding, or participating in riot and carrying weapon.
