COLUMBIA — Branan I. “Zeke” Yarborough, 87, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Born in Newberry, he was a son of the late Milton Ezekial and Nannie Berry Yarborough. A graduate of the University of S.C. with a B.S. in civil engineering, he worked his entire career as a sales representative throughout the Southeast with various steel companies. Drafted at the age of 19, he served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a longtime member of Incarnation Lutheran Church and V.F.W. Post 641. He was an avid bowler and USC Gamecock fan.

He was married to Betty Lou Poston Yarborough of Lake City from 1951 until her death in 1968. He then married Rosemary Corbett Yarborough in 1970. She died in 2007.

Surviving are his children, Michael Branan Yarborough (Janice), Linda Y. Love, Douglas Earle Yarborough, Robert Milton Yarborough, Scott Randall Yarborough, all of Columbia; grandchildren, Lynda L. Orange (Hank), Michael Paul Yarborough, Dana Yarborough, Elizabeth Yarborough, Lauren Yarborough, Matthew Yarborough, Jamie Yarborough, Jason Yarborough; great-grandchildren, Nataleigh, Olivia, Bailey, Riley, Emily and Ryan.

In addition to his parents and two wives, he was predeceased by a daughter, Susan J. Ross and her husband, Bobby Ross.
