WHITMIRE — Pauline G. Nelson, 82, of 102 Prather St. and widow of George Edward Nelson died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, in Pomaria.

She was born in Swain County, N.C. and was the daughter of the late James Walter and Hattie Rowan Gibson.

Mrs. Nelson was a homemaker and a member of Central Avenue Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Sandy Nelson of Whitmire and Joey Nelson and his wife, Beverly of Whitmire; a daughter Patsy Livingston and husband, Paul Sr. of Pomaria; a brother, Ed Gibson of Whitmire; four sisters, Loretta Lanier, Mary Nelson, both of Whitmire and Betty Berzsenvi and Macy Berzsenvi, both of Michigan; eight grandchildren, Billy Nelson, Daniel Nelson, Seira Nelson, Paul Livingston Jr., Ben Livingston, Nancee Alvarez-Livingston, Tiffany Livingston and Matthew Peterson; four great-grandchildren, Dominique Alvarez, Isabelle Livingston, Aaron Nelson and Lauryn Nelson.

She was predeceased by a brother and a sister, Arthur Gibson and Burdell Williams.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Whitmire. The family will receive friends Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
