NEWBERRY — The Newberry College football team is currently selling performance bands and T-shirts with the team logo to raise funds.
Fans can get the bands from any Newberry football coach for $15.
The eight bands have been previously licensed by schools such as Alabama, LSU, South Carolina, Clemson, Florida State, SMU and Troy.
A study published in Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise which was presented at the American College of Sports Medicine convention in 2011 confirmed the bands provide a muscle endurance increase and improved recovery.
The football department is also taking orders for Wolf T-shirts with Coach Dennis Swygert’s famous saying, “Every play, Every down, For the whole season, Baby!” on the back. The shirts also have a Wolf on the front.
All shirts are $15.
To get the items contact Coach Jeremiah Jones at 321-5159 or by sending him an email. Orders and money must be turned in by Friday.
They will be delivered the week of homecoming.
Please note sizes and both men and women’s sizes are available.
Men’s shirts are white and women’s are grey.
