Mid-Carolina J.V. Rebels and Chapin J.V. Eagles had a hard fought game on the Eagles new artificial turf.
The game was very close the entire game and Mid-Carolina was plagued with injuries; some that will keep some key players off the field for the next several games.
Mid-Carolina did put up a good defense making five interceptions, but the Eagles prevented the Rebels from obtaining the two point conversions.
Mid-Carolina’s L.J. Campbell did have a kick return scoring a touchdown after Chapin kicked off to the Rebels.
After the run back, the Rebels 5th interception turned into another touchdown and successful two point conversion to put the Rebels on top with 20 and the Eagles 14.
Late in the fourth quarter the Eagles were able to get into the end zone and the successful point after put them on top and gave them the win with 21 for Chapin and 20 for Mid-Carolina.
Hold your heads up guys; it was a hard fought game.
The J.V. Rebels meet Ninety Six at Lon Armstrong Stadium this week.
The team hopes all the injured players do well and get back on the grass soon.
