Service appreciation day to be held for Carson-Newman game

Newberry College Interim Director of Athletics Matt Finley has announced special ticketing rates and events for Service Appreciation Day, which will be held for the Wolves’ football game against Carson-Newman this weekend.

Kickoff this Saturday is set for 6:30 p.m. between the only two undefeated teams in Super Region Two. Fans are also encouraged to attend the volleyball match against Lincoln Memorial at 2 p.m. Admission to all home volleyball matches is free of charge.

As an added bonus to the exciting games on campus, the Newberry Police Department and Newberry County Sheriff’s Office will have special vehicles on the practice field for fans to view.

During normal business hours Tuesday through Friday, employees of selected county service employers will be eligible for a special ticket deal

By visiting the Newberry College ticket office in the O.L. Casey Center on campus, employees can by $5 tickets for themselves and their immediate family.

This deal will only be available for on-site, pre-sale through Friday.

Also, any first responder in uniform (police, fire, highway patrol, EMS, etc.) will be admitted to the Carson-Newman contest for free.
