On June 14-17 one Newberry Academy Junior Civitan got an experience of a lifetime.
Sean Blanton, a high school junior, attended the Junior Civitan International Convention in Norfolk, Va.
Blanton had the opportunity to meet Junior Civitans from around the world at a Rubik Cube dance and going bowling.
He participated in classes teaching how to be a better leader and new ways to help make the world a better place.
Blanton attended the international business meeting and the international awards ceremony where he received Club Officer of the Year.
The Newberry Academy Junior Civitans placed third as a club for Environmental Project of the Year by planting 43 trees at the school.
