With increased enthusiasm at the developer of a proposed movie and bowling complex, he has decided to bring more of his staff to a meeting in Newberry Tuesday evening.
The proposed development is planned for the strip mall behind CVS and Hardees.
The developer hopes to turn the old, somewhat vacant shopping center into a multiplex movie theater, a bowling ally and shopping center.
The Hilton Head developer, who has not been named, has purchased the property and has a design for the new facility, which could include up to six theaters.
The developer has done a similar project in Sacramento, Calif.
Locals are asked to come to the Newberry Opera House on the square at 6 p.m. Tuesday to show their support for the project and to learn more about it.
The event is open to the public and is free.
