Firefighters responded Thursday morning to a fire that destroyed a rental home.
The fire alarms sounded around 2 a.m. Thursday morning for the Friendly and Prosperity fire departments and the Prosperity Rescue Squad.
When firefighters arrived on the scene at Feather Run Road off Jollystreet Road, they found the house engulfed in flames.
The cause of the fire at the single wide mobile home has not been determined, according to Friendly Fire Chief Butch Price.
Price added the renter was currently moving out of the home and was not at the residence when the fire started.
Some 40 to 45 firefighters responded to the call and the fire was under control in about 30 minutes, according to Prosperity Firefighter and incident commander Robert Dennis.
