The following people were booked into the Newberry County Detention Center. All persons are innocent until proven guilty.

Newberry Observer

Anthony Leonard Watkins Whitener, 57, was arrested and charged with a fugitive from justice warrant.

Tamika Nicole Cook, 37, was arrested and charged with driving under suspension, failure to return driver’s license after notice of suspension, cancellation or revocation, use of license plate other than for vehicle for which it was issued and failure to obey traffic-control devices.

Reginald Wade Mayers, 18, was arrested and charged with breaking into a motor vehicle or tanks, pumps, where fuel, lubricants were stored and with petit, or simple, larceny.

Felica Marie Perkins, 21,was arrested and charged with a magistrate’s court bench warrant.

Newberry County Sheriff’s Office

Tawanda Denise Washington, 30, was arrested and charged with failure to return rented objects.

Sandra Lee Martin, 47, was arrested and charged with forgery.

Faith Ann Butler, 39, was arrested and charged with willful sale of real or personal property on which a lien exists.

Whitmire Police

Brandon Keith Nobles, 27, was arrested and charged with a magistrate’s court bench warrant.

Michael Anthony Johnson, 21, was arrested and charged with a magistrate’s court bench warrant.
