For the past 29 years, Bob Dawkins has served Newberry Academy as headmaster of the school founded in 1966.
During that time, he has administered to hundreds of students and parents before retiring in late April.
A committee of friends and family have planned a celebration/ retirement dinner for Saturday, July 28 to be held in the dining hall on the campus of Newberry College.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will feature talks by former students, teachers, parents, and friends.
Reservations may be made by visiting the school’s office from 9 a.m. - noon Monday through Friday or by calling 945-2257.
The deadline for reservations is Friday, July 20.
