Saturday afternoon folks headed to Columbia on I-26 came to a stand still after a couple of wrecks near the Newberry and Lexington County line.
“Two significant wrecks along this route are causing traffic delays in both lanes,” said Newberry County Sheriff Lee Foster. “A six car pile up near the Chapin Exit and a motorcycle wreck with injuries and a medical helicopter landing on the I caused further delays.”
Traffic was asked to detour around the area.
