NEWBERRY — Christina “Tina” Senn, 48, of Newberry died Friday, June 1, 2012, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Newberry, she was the daughter of George Sedley and Florence Walker Senn..
She was a homemaker, a farmer, and a C.N.A. She was a 1981 graduate of Newberry High School. She was a volunteer for the Bush River Fire Department and served as president in 2005. She organized the South Carolina Brain Tumor Support Group and traveled to Washington, D.C to get support for the group. Governor David Beasley declared May as Brain Tumor Awareness Month in South Carolina. She was a member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her parents of Newberry; a son, R.J. Doran of Newberry; and brothers, Milton Senn and Barry Senn both of Newberry.
Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Smyrna Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends Saturday from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
