Valedictorian: Ashley Chaffee
What she said: “Over the last 15 years we have made so many memories. We have gotten through it together,” said Chaffee, as eight of the 10 graduates have been at the school since kindergarten. “I hope whatever you do you find joy in your hearts and that we stay in touch.”
Salutatorian: Jessica Cole
What she said: “‘Oh, you’re an academy kid’ is a term I have come to love,” said Cole.
Class Address: Chelsea Ellisor
What she said: “I can’t imagine graduating without you,” said Ellisor.
Keynote speaker: Chad Connelly, former board member and S.C. GOP Chairman
Four points he gave the grads:
• Chase your dreams
• Find the right people to listen to
• Develop responsibility and accountability for yourself
• Decide not to quit

What he said: “If you are writing a book you have only written the intro,” he said. ” Someone cared enough to make a choice for you to go (to the Newberry Academy). Each of you now have a foundation to build on.”
