The deaconess board of Bethlehem Baptist Church will observe their annual Mother’s day program on Sunday during the morning worship service. The guest speaker for this occasion is Jeanette Geiger. Geiger received her associate degree in criminal justice and her bachelor degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of South Carolina. She received a master’s degree in educational ministries from Columbia International University in Columbia in 2006. Geiger retired from the Department of Juvenile Justice where she worked as a training instructor, a licensed social worker, victim assistance liaison, a juvenile correction supervisor and a juvenile correctional officer. Currently she is employed by Lexington/Richland District 5 as a substitute teacher.
