NEWBERRY — Funeral services for Mr. Tommy E. “TK” Kinard, age 58, will be conducted on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Kinard passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2012. Born in Newberry County, he was the son of Mary E. Kinard and the late Ulysses Brown Sr. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Mr. Kinard was an employee of ISE of Newberry.

Mr. Kinard was predeceased by brother, Charles Kinard; mother-in-law, Floree Cromer Sims.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Sims Kinard; mother, Mary E. Kinard; daughter, Keri Chicara Kinard of Newberry; son, Martin Sentell Sims of Charlotte, N.C.; stepson, Rodney Obrian Sims of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters, Joan Boyd (Michael) of Newberry; Vanessa Brown of Greenville; Mary Bolden (William) of Rock Hill; Geraldine Hicks Oliver (William) of Whitmire; brothers, Darrell Kinard (Ann) of Newberry; Sammie Earl Brown of Whitmire; Ulysses Brown Jr. (Bonnie) of Greenville; nine grandchildren including De’Asia Davenport, Angeliean Sims and Tazman Ruff all reared in the home; three great-grandchildren, two aunts, one uncle, five sisters-in-law, twelve brothers-in-law, son-in-law, Marcus Cohen, a number of other relatives and friends.
