The community will gather Tuesday to help make tomorrow safer for teens.

The Newberry County Coalition on Underage Drinking is sponsoring a town hall meeting to focus community efforts in reducing the harmful effects of alcohol on our young people.

Westview Behavioral Health Services sponsors the Newberry Coalition through CAST (Community Action for a Safer Tomorrow) and its prevention program.

It’s a health and safety issue that cannot afford to be overlook.

Underage drinking takes an enormous toll on our youth and the future of Newberry County, and touches each one.

Dr. Becky White, Pediatrics of Newberry, and officers from Newberry city and county law enforcement, will speak on the consequences associated with underage alcohol use.

The town hall meeting will take place at Newberry High School’s Common Area at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
