Mr. and Mrs. Henry David Warren of Newberry announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Warren, to Mr. Joseph Jacob Ruff, II, son of Ms. Rhonda Ruff of Pomaria and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ruff of Saluda.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Janie Warren of Newberry and the late N.B. Warren Jr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Jay Lester. She is a graduate of Midlands Technical College with a degree in architectural engineering and is employed with Newberry Electric Cooperative.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Fritz Wecker of Prosperity, Mr. and Mrs. John Latimer and Mrs. Wynona Ruff of Pomaria, and the late Joe Bates Ruff. He is a graduate of Midlands Technical College with a degree in industrial electricity and is employed with SCE&G at the Fairfield Pumped Storage Facility.

The wedding is planned for May 2, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Newberry at 6 p.m. in the evening. No formal invitations will be sent locally. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
