Newberry - Mr. George Means died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Eva Mae B. Richardson

POMARIA - Eva Mae Boland Richardson, 85, widow of G. Ray Richardson died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008 at her residence.

Born on Aug. 21, 1923 in Little Mountain, she was the daughter of the late J. Ned and Bessie Bickley Boland. She was retired from the Lowman Home and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Ladies Bible Class.

She is survived by daughters, Jo Ann Richardson and Betty Richardson, both of Pomaria; a son, James “Bo” Richardson of Pomaria; and a brother, Joe Boland of Joanna. She was predeceased by a brother, J. L. Boland.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, 2496 SC Highway 773, Pomaria, SC 29126 or to Lutheran Hospice, 1505 Blanding St., Columbia, SC 29201.

Active pallbearers were Blease Lattimore, John Wheeler, Carold Wicker, Keith Boland, Johnny Lindler, Bernie Metts and Melvin Metts.

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Caroll Pinner, Ladies Bible Class, Kathy Metts, Donna Peele, Rebekah Sims and Tonya Houseal.
