Rain has washed away football in the county for tonight.

Mid-Carolina and Whitmire postponed games until tomorrow night.

Mid-Carolina will face Batesburg-Leesville tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Lon Armstrong Stadium.

The game was originally slated to be played in Batesburg-Leesville, but was moved because the state band competition is scheduled to be held at Panther Stadium.

The Rebels enter the game 4-4 overall and 2-1 in Region III-2A play. They can clinch second place in the region and will be guaranteed a home playoff game with a victory against the Panthers.

Batesburg-Leesville (5-3, 1-2) need a win to keep its hopes of finishing second alive.

Whitmire's huge Region II-A game against Christ Church has been moved to tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at the Den.

A win tomorrow gives Whitmire (5-3 overall, 3-0 Region II-A) its second consecutive region championship, while Christ Church (7-1, 2-0) will be looking to keep its title hopes alive going into the final week of the regular season.
