Since planning for a wedding can be stressful and time consuming, one local business wants to help.

Rhonda Williams through her new business, The First Impression, is offering an event planning service that accommodates future couples' needs.

Williams can find venues, caterers, entertainment, florists, photographers and relaxation for that special day.

“We take pride in the commitment we give for our clients,” says Williams. “Our mission is dedicated to provide each client with the undivided attention he or she truly deserves. Creating an impressive ambience is our passion.”

Williams has been planning parties since 1991. Birthdays, retirement parties and family reunions have been her specialty in event planning, but now Williams wants to branch out.

“My family always told me, ‘Just do this. You do this all the time.' And event planning has always been my dream job and passion, so I'm doing this,” Williams says.

Planning for weddings is what Williams wants to accomplish next.

“South Carolina offers so many venues and locations,” Williams says. “There are other beaches besides Myrtle Beach, and people don't realize it. There are homes and beaches that would make a great location for a wedding. There are also so many caterers, entertainers and florists to become involved with.”

Besides weddings, The First Impression plans for romantic proposals, corporate functions, open houses, birthdays and other events.

“I want to be that one-stop solution. All you need to do is pick up the phone and set up a meeting with me, and I'll take it from there,” says Williams.

There are three different packages Williams offers all clients.

The “day of” package is planning for a few weeks before the event, the partial package is planning for three to six months in advance of the event and the full package is planning for up to 18 months in advance of the big event.

Pricing depends on the event, but Williams says her fees are guaranteed to be reasonable. If there is a cheaper rate, Williams says she can find it.

So whether it is a full-scale wedding or a simple beachfront gathering with family, Williams is eager to have The First Impression help plan in any way necessary.
