NEWBERRY - Funeral services for Mr. Colie Jackson Jr., age 65, of 2351 Emory St. will be conducted on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Pratt Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Jackson died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008 at Ascension Hospice in Irmo. Born in Prosperity, he was the son of the late Colie Jackson Sr. and Mamie Dorley Jackson. He was a member of Ebenezer AME Church, Norristown, Pa.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy Dean Jackson of the home; children, Mary Jackson, Mamie Lee Jackson, Darlene Jackson, all of New York City; four sisters, Azalee Dominick, Sarah A. Penny and Janie Mae Gallman, all of Prosperity, and Mary Wise of Georgia; two brothers, Thomas Jackson (Betty) of Prosperity and Ulysses Jackson (Sally) of Newberry; four aunts, Sarah Boyd of Norristown, Pa., Elizabeth Holman of Washington, D.C., Helen Meredith of Greenville and Mandy Lee Kibler of Prosperity; a number of grandchildren; adopted sister and very dear friend, Annie Bell Brown of Norristown, Pa.; two sisters-in-law, Annette Hentz and Janice Gallman (Eugene), both of Newberry; two brothers-in-law, Duane Dean Sr. (Tonya) of Newberry and Dewalt Dean of Roxboro, N.C.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
