NEWBERRY - Mrs. Mamie Davis Williams, 102, of 2414 Adelaide St., Newberry, died Thursday at her home. Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late Mack Davis and the late Janie Longshore Davis.
She was a member of Elisha A.M.E. Church and the Women's Home Aid Society #57 and Order of Eastern Star, Chapter # 275.
She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Williams.
Surviving are two sons, Evans Williams of Columbia and Paul Williams of Newberry; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Janie Bell Douglas of Washington, D.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 at Saint Matthew Baptist Church with viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Elisha A.M.E. Church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home of Newberry.
